The Heart

At the heart of the Cinema Ten Pro you'll find a DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) that is quite close to what you find in professional projectors in commercial theaters. Dream Vision is the only Home Theater projector company using a .9 XGA DMD with Dual Formatter board. This larger chip size allows for more light output whilst the Dual Formatter doubles the speed at which the mirrors are moving. This translates into greater fluidity and realism.

Elsewhere in the light path, we employ a six-segment (RGBRGB) color wheel. This halves the color access time for increased vibrancy. When combined with our DMD chip with 'blackout' technology, this virtually eliminates the 'rainbow' phenomena that plaques many DLP projectors.

The Best Optics

Optics are a key factor in picture quality. Think about it; a chip smaller than a silver dollar produces a six-foot image! To get the best performance, Dream Vision turned to the renowned German optics specialist, Carl Zeiss. The Cinema Ten Pro is fitted with an expensive all glass lens system rather than the usual glass/plastic combinations that are universally used. This exquisite optics system produces better sharpness and incredible 3D visuals.

Our proprietary Zeiss light engine also allows the use of two optional long throw lenses.

Our Unique Chassis

The exotic casing of the Cinema ten Pro was designed to be the ultimate in chic industrial design. It also serves a more practical purpose, to prevent stray light and noise from interfering with your entertainment. A unique intelligent thermal management solution keeps the projector whisper quiet and ensures that the lamp gets a constant flow of fresh air to maximize long term reliability.

The Best Video Processing

Up-scaling video signals and the reduction of motion artifacts is totally dependent on the software used and the ability of the chipset to store and perform this mathematical interpolation. Chips with large storage capacities are expensive and therefore most manufacturers use smaller ASIC sets. Dream Vision has opted for the superior FPGA (field programmable gate array).

The Dream Vision proprietary VCM Circuitry (Virtual Clear Motion) fitted in the Cinema Ten Pro is a top class scaler entirely implemented on FPGA chips, offering a level of performance unheard of in its price range.

The open structure of our FPGA chips also allows full upgradeability as new information can be downloaded as improvements become available. Other software, widely used by the industry, does not allow this flexibility.
